Description: Herb about 15-20 cm. Leaves 2.5*0.8 cm, opposite, sessile, oblong-lanceolate. Flowers in forked cymes forming terminal panicles, white.
Use: Plant is bitter, acrid, astringent, thermogenic, laxative, alterative, vulnery, emollient, alexiteric, anthelmintic, appetizer, intellect promoting, aphrodisiac, depurative, rejuvenating and nerve tonic; fresh juice of plant is prescribed in insanity, epilepsy and nervous debility; also useful in leucoderma, leprosy, skin diseases; tuberculosis, ulcers and general debility.
